Lynn Earl Douglas

Lynn Earl Douglas, 78, of Bristol, CT passed away peacefully in Old Saybrook, CT on February 9, 2019. He was born in Keeseville, NY and made Bristol his home for over 50 years. He was the son of the late Eileen and Harold Douglas. He is survived by his two sons, Robert Douglas and Chris (January) Costa of Old Saybrook, and Rick and Donna Douglas of Bristol, and 2 beautiful granddaughters, Katie and Emily Douglas. He is also survived by his oldest brother Harold (Bunn) Douglas Jr. and his wife Julie of RI, and his youngest brother Peter Douglas and his wife Donna of NY, and many nieces and nephews. Lynn was predeceased by 4 brothers, Carl, Sherman, Jim, and Vicky, and 2 sisters, Jane Douglas, and Eileen (Tinky) Debrino. Lynn retired from Associated Spring, Bristol Division, after many years as a set-up man. He received many awards for his money-saving innovative ideas. Lynn was a member of the Bristol Polish American Citizens Club and a dedicated member of Elks BPOE1010 for over 50 years. He was on the Board of Trustees and was very involved with the Elks Children’s Christmas Party. We thank the staff at Apple Rehab, Old Saybrook and Beacon Hospice. Donations can be made in his memory to BPOE1010 or a charity of choice. Burial will be on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at St. Joseph Cemetery Holy Family Mausoleum. A celebration of life is being planned for the future.
