Edmund (Ed) A. Robitaille of Bristol, CT. passed away on January 26, 2021. Ed was born in Pittsfield, MA in January, 1932 to the late Louis P. and Blanche (Levesque) Robitaille.
 
Ed is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jeannine C. (Vertefeuille) Robitaille of Bristol, CT., sons Phillip R. Robitaille of Bristol, CT., John A. Robitaille and wife Linda Robitaille of Colchester, CT., daughters Sharon M. Baxter of Murfreesboro, TN and Arlene Degen of Moreno Valley, CA, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
 
One of 12 children, Ed was predeceased by brothers Phillip, Richard, Louis and James and sisters Virginia Bradshaw, Katherine Gillman and Diane Gardiner. He leaves behind his brother Cliff and sisters Beverly Bell, Barbara Mylek and Joan Burr.
 
Ed proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, beginning his military career in Korea at Chosin Reservoir and is one of the "Chosin Few". Ed was considered a "Mustanger" in the military, working his way up the ranks from E1 to E7 then to 2nd Lt. and finishing his career as a Captain.
 
Following his career in the Marine Corps, Ed worked his trade as a carpenter as well as owner/co-owner of several businesses with his brother Jim.
 
Ed will best be remembered for his sense of humor, teasing nature, generosity and dedication to family.
 
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial on March 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St. Bristol, CT. followed by burial with with Military Honors at 1:00 PM at Cedar Hills Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ed's honor to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or Disabled American Veterans (DAV)
