Donald (Billy) Williams Jr.
Washington Depot, CT – Billy Williams passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Billy was born on November 4, 1952 in Waterbury, Connecticut, the son of the late Donald and Mary Williams. A longtime resident of Washington Depot, CT, Billy was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was also a proud lifetime member of the Washington Volunteer Fire Department and owner of former the Shepaug Club.
He is survived by his wife Colleen (McLaughlin) Williams and his four children: Ericka (Jaime) Nitsche, Brooke (Douglas) Whiteley, Meghan (Michael) McCarthy, and Patrick (Christine) Williams and five grandchildren: Kyra Nitsche, Hailey Nitsche, Graysen Whiteley, Seth Williams, and Malorie McCarthy. He is also survived by his sisters Donna (Brad) Dutcher and Loreen (Howard) Lethbridge and his brothers Peter (Georgiann) Williams and Stephen (Ellen) Williams. Additionally, he is survived by in-laws Thomas McLaughlin, Brian (Andrea) McLaughlin, Susan (William) Schapp, and David (Cindy) McLaughlin. He will be remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews.
Billy’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Valerie Manor for their kind and compassionate care during the final years of his life.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 5 from 4-6 PM at Phalen Funeral Home, 285 Migeon Avenue, Torrington, CT. A burial will take place in the spring at the convenience of the family.
