Walter F. Kraucalis, 93, of 24 Colony St., Bristol, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at Ingraham Manor.

He was the husband of Frances (Massaro) Kraucalis. Walter was born in Torrington April 5, 1918, the son of the late Stanley and Victoria (Vasikonis) Kraucalis. He was a veteran in WWII, serving in Africa and Sicily in the Army for the 36th Combat Regiment Engineer Division. He worked for the Chic Miller Chevrolet car dealership for 25 years. He was a member of St. Anthony Church and the Bristol Fish and Game since 1935. Besides his wife he is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by six brothers and sisters, Stanley, Joseph, John, Mary, Margaret and Elizabeth.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol with military honors. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 9:30 until 11 a.m.
