Walter H. Groome, II, 54 of Bristol passed away Friday, October 23, 2009.
He was the husband of Gaynor L. (Gorlich) Groome.
He was born in Teaneck, NJ on February 27, 1955, the son of the late Walter H. and Viola (Soka) Groome.
He worked for several years as a manager at Auto Zone.
Besides his wife, he is survived by their daughter Brittany Groome of Bristol, several nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, his beloved dogs Shotzi and Daisy, as well as many friends, all of whom adored his exuberant personality. He greatly enjoyed spending time at his family home in Hayes, Virginia, as well as cheering on his favorite Nascar racer Jimmie Johnson every weekend. Walter's love for spreading smiles and laughter will be sorely missed and will live on in his family, friends, and pets.
Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects on November 14th from 11 am - 1 pm at the Groome residence. Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the American Heart or the American Cancer Society.
