Shirley Ann (Finney) Szynkowicz, 69, of 50 Tunxis Road Bristol, passed away at her home after a brief illness Friday, Sept. 30, 2005. She was the wife of Stanley A. Szynkowicz. Mrs. Szynkowicz was born in Plymouth, Ind. on Oct. 7, 1935 the daughter of the late Francis and Charlotte (Hartman) Finney. In January of 1973 she moved to Bristol. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church. Besides her husband, Shirley is survived by a son, Stanley F. Szynkowicz of Bristol; two daughters, Virginia Catherine Trinidad of Mentone, Calif. and Barbara E. Szynkowicz of Bristol; a brother, Lloyd Finney of Olympia, Ky.; two sisters, Phyllis Brengle of Rockford, Ill. and Mary Goble of Plymouth., Ind.; six grandchildren, Diana and Seth Szynkowicz, Jessica, Josiah and Christopher Trinidad and Jonathan Graziano; plus several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by a son, John Matthew Szynkowicz, who passed away April 9, 1999. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005 at 9 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St. Bristol to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
