Sharon Marie Odea, 68, of Ellington, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025. Born on August 5, 1956, in New York, Sharon was truly one of a kind—sharp, witty, and unapologetically herself. Her sarcasm was legendary, her humor unmatched, and her love for those closest to her unwavering.
For over 30 years, Sharon worked as a dedicated CNA at Countryside Manor in Bristol, CT. She poured her heart into caregiving, touching countless lives with compassion and grace. Her work was more than a job—it was a reflection of her spirit.
She was the beloved mother of Mary E. Santorso and the late Eric L. Santorso, who passed away in December 2006. In her passing, Sharon reunites with Eric—a long-awaited and deeply cherished reunion. She shared an unbreakable bond with her grandson and caretaker, Brandon Nicholson, who remained faithfully by her side through her final days.
Sharon also held a special place in her heart for Mary’s boyfriend, Marshall A. Gibson of Hartford, CT, who brought joy and comfort to the family. She never stopped missing her beloved dog, Dusty, who passed away last year.
Sharon found joy in the simple things—quiet moments at home, sarcastic humor, being with her family, and loving deeply. Her strength, resilience, and unforgettable presence will be missed more than words can express.
Per her wishes, no formal services will be held.
