Sebastian "Chic" Tanasi, 82, of Bristol passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was the husband of Joanne (Souney) Tanasi.
Sebastian was born on Feb. 26, 1931, in Hartford the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Mazza) Tanasi.
He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Navy. He worked for New Departure Hyatt Division of General Motors for 30 years before retiring in 1988.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, David and Steve Tanasi; three daughters, Deborah and her husband, Victor Delbon, Lisa Tanasi and Robin and her husband, Michael Duval; two sisters, Sally Blake and Angie LaPlante; eight grandchildren, Dario, Jenna and her husband, Rafi Gasner, Amanda, Jesse, Shawn, Tyler, Rilynn and Madison; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Connie Camilleri.
A memorial service and military honors will take place on Aug. 9, 2013, at the Barnes Memorial Chapel West Cemetery Bristol, at 11 a.m.
Family may receive friends from 10 a.m., until time of service.
