CORONA, Calif. - Rose E. (McDonald) McHugh, 95, of 2513 Independence Way, Corona, Calif., passed away Sept. 26, 2007, at the Corona Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Howard F. McHugh Sr. She was born on Oct. 9, 1912, in Alburgh, Vt., the daughter of the late Roderick A. and Josephine (Asline) McDonald. Rose worked for Allied Control in Plantsville, for over 20 years before she retired in 1976. She was a member of St. Ann Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Bill McCarthy, of Corona, Calif.; a sister, Jean Kolb of Bristol; four grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren; plus nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Howard F. McHugh Jr., and a grandson, Craig McCarthy. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, to St. Ann Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, from 10:30 until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to City of Hope, 1600 Duarte Road, Duarte, CA 91010.
