Rocchina Mary Bzeski

Rocchina "Ricky" Mary (Tinella) Brzeski, 98, formerly of Bristol, passed peacefully on Tuesday - June 07, 2022. Daughter of the late Peter and Philomena (Masi) Tinella, and widow to the late Henry Brzeski. 
 
"Ricky" was retired for many years from BJ Tool Company in Terryville.  Unwavering in commitment to her family, she had cared for many of those who have gone before her. She had a reluctant love for animals, especially her shrimp-eating, sidekick JJ (cat). She was a superb cook and developed an unrelenting sweet tooth. She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony's Church in Bristol, as well as a long-standing member of the OSIA Club, sisters to the Knights of Columbus. Rocchina leaves behind two daughters, Cheryl Cyr (Larry - deceased) and Sandra Smith (Dave); also, five grandchildren, Jill Marie Wood, Scott Wilson, Raymond Bull (deceased), and Kimberly and Kristine Bourdeau; along with many great-grandchildren. nieces and nephews.
 
Family and friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., in Bristol, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.  Following calling hours, there will be a mass at 11 a.m., at St. Anthony's Church (St. Frances de Sales Parish), located at 111 School St., also in Bristol.  The service will conclude with burial, at St. Mary's Cemetery, E. Plymouth Rd. (rt 72), in Terryville (Plymouth).  There will be no reception. Hubbard's Florist is accepting orders for flowers if needed, 133 North St., Bristol, (860) 583-4184.  And if there are any donations, they will be accepted by the family.

I remember when I was in highschool working my first job at Baskin Robbins. Aunt Ricky and Aunt Eva would go for their walks and visit me for their ice cream treat. I would look forward to seeing them each week.

On behalf of the Parish of St. Francis de Sales(St. Anthony & St. Ann) I would like to offer my condolences to the family of Rocchina on the occasion of her death. Rocchina was a devoted member of St. Anthony's. We will pray for the happy repose of her soul.

My Dear Sandy,
I will never forget all the great times I had with you and your mom growing up. She was such a wonderful person. We had so many laughs. God Bless you and your family. Your mom is in good hands with our Lord. She is with your Dad now.
