Robin Raymond Reiss

April 21, 1951 — December 25, 2025

Rocky Hill

Robin Raymond Reiss, 74, of Rocky Hill, Connecticut, loving son, brother, father, and grandfather, entered into eternal rest on December 25, 2025.

Robin was born on April 21, 1951, in New Haven, Connecticut, the son of the late Robert and Norma “Dolly” (Chambers) Reiss.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Reiss and daughter-in-law, Brianna Reiss, his daughter, Jessica Reiss; his two beautiful grandchildren, Christopher Jr. and Addison Reiss, of whom he was extremely proud; his brother, Randy Reiss; his sisters, Roxanne Meeker, Renee Bailey (Thomas), and Rochelle Carmody (Kevin); along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Robin was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie Reiss and Rory Reiss.

He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1973, earning the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Robin was an avid drummer, and you could always find him tapping away. Although he was wheelchair-bound, he recently earned a Black Belt in Taekwondo, a testament to his determination and strength. He cherished family visits and was well known for his favorite requests—popcorn, Lay’s potato chips, veal parmesan subs, or whole belly clams from Stowe’s. He would light up with a big smile when loved ones walked through the door. Robin was rarely seen without his winter hat, no matter the time of year.

Calling hours for Robin will be held on January 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West Street, Bristol, CT 06010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales at St. Ann Church, Bristol, Connecticut. Burial will follow with military honors at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, Connecticut.
