BRISTOL - Robert T. McCarthy, 73, of 34 Merriman St., passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at Bristol Hospital. Robert was born in Bristol July 18, 1933, the son of the late William A. and Beatrice R. (McGuigan) McCarthy. He was employed at The Bristol Press, were he worked for more than 20 years before he retired. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 2 and St. Joseph Church. He was a volunteer at Salvation Army and the Soup Kitchen of Bristol. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He leaves behind all those who cared for him so deeply. He will be missed and lovingly remembered by all those lives he touched with his friendship, kindness and generosity. Military funeral will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at 9 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
