He was born in Waterbury on March 29, 1965 the son of Joan (Velev) Anderlin and Anthony Scatena.
Besides his parents Rico is survived by a daughter Jamie and a stepfather, Richard Anderlin and a brother, Michael Scatena and 2 sisters, Melissa Shanklin and Lenora Marsico. Plus several nieces and nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his companion Kimberly Dwyer.
Burial be at the convenience of the family.
