BRISTOL - Omer J. Thibault, 81, of 62 Jacob St. passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Sheriden Woods Health Care Center. He was the widower of Gertrude (Langer) Thibault. Omer was born in Holyoke, Mass., Aug. 9, 1925, the son of the late Marcel and Marie L. (Blais) Thibault. He served in U.S. Army for 24 years, stationed in Germany. He served two terms in Vietnam and one term in the Korean War. He was a member of St. Ann Church. He is survived by sisters Pauline Thibault and Marion Aubin, both of Bristol, and Antoinette "Tonie" and her husband, Phil DuPrey, of Fort Piece, Fla.; a stepson and his wife, and a step-granddaughter and her husband, all of Germany; plus several nephews and nieces. The family would like to thank Bristol Visiting Nurses, Bristol Hospital emergency room, Sheriden Woods Health Care Center and the Dialysis Center on Middle Street, Bristol, for all the care they provided. A military funeral will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at 8:30 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, to St. Ann Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow with military honors in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
