Mrs. Norma L. (Downing) Burrill, 74, of Bristol, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at her home with her husband Robert Burrill of 54 years, beside her.
She was born in Washington, DC on August 24, 1939 the daughter of the late Frank and Eva (Pratt) Downing. She was raised in Maryland and moved to the Bristol area in 1965. She was a member of Bristol Polish Club.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Dawn Rioux of Hartford, a sister Margaret Glorius of Sarasota, FL, a Brother Duddley Downing and his wife of Detroit, MI, 4 sister-in laws, Nancy Champagne and her husband Leo of Ashland, Or., Janice Burrill of Newington, Sandra Burrill of Parker, Co and Donna Burrill of Fort Collins, CO. a brother in law, Thomas Burrill and his wife Diane of Wallingford. 2 grandchildren, Christine Burrill of New Britain and Sean Rioux of Storrs, CT, 6 nieces and nephews. Plus her best friends, Irene and Frank Jankowski and Sue Mazerolle.
She is predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Downing.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol is in charge of the arrangements.
