Mr. Thomas Carucci, 61, of Skyview Ter. Bristol passed away peacefully on Tuesday, (December 16, 2008) at St. Francis Hospital. He was the husband of Cheryl (Petosa) Carucci. Mr. Carucci was born in Bristol on December 22, 1947 the son of the late Thomas and Marion (Denehy) Carucci. Tom was a resident of Bristol his entire life and a veteran of the Vietnam War serving four years in the United States Air Force. Tom worked for The Xerox Company in Hartford for more than 30 years, and Tom was the President of the Bristol Military Museum. An avid golfer, Tom was a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants and a proud witness to 2 World Series Championships and 3 Super Bowl Championships. He was a member of St. Anthony Church.
Beside his wife of 35 years, he is survived by two daughters, Jillian Carucci and Johanna Carucci, a brother John Carucci, sister- in-law Nancy Petosa, a brother-in-law Ronald and his wife Patricia Petosa, all from Bristol. Tom was the proud grandfather of a cherished grandson, Noah Thomas, and a proud uncle to several nieces and nephews, Lori, Kim, Tom, Dara, Eric and Adam. he is also survived by several aunts and uncles and several great nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. Tom was pre-deceased by a sister, Marion Linsley.
Military service will be held on Friday, December 19 at 9 a.m. from the Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Donations can be made to Multiple Sclerosis Connecticut Chapter, 659 Tower Avenue, First Floor Hartford, CT 06112.
