Jerome C. Morin, 70, of Bristol passed away Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Bristol Hospital, with his family by his side. He was the husband of 30 years to Marie L. (Pelletier) Morin. Jerome was born in Four Corners, Maine, Nov. 25, 1939, the son of the late Simeon and Claira (Damboise) West Morin.
He worked for 45 years as an iron/sheet metal superintendent alone with his brother at Morin Erections. He also worked at Progressive Metal and Silk Town Roofing, retiring in 2002. He was a 3rd Degree of the Knights of Columbus. He loved to watch the Giants football team with his family. He was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church in Wolcott.
Besides his wife of Bristol, he is survived by a son, Lawrence Morin; three daughters, Tammie Chairella, Tina and her husband, William Metesky, and Annmarie and her husband, Steve Marrone; stepsons, Nicholas and his wife, Kim Dell'Aera, and stepdaughter, Pamela Dell'Aera-DeNote; grandchildren, Jamie-Lee and Amber Metesky, Nicholas Chiarella, Anthony, Dante, and Angelina Marrone, Jamie, Jerome, Larry and Kayla Morin; five step-grandchildren, Nicholas and Jake Dell'Aera, Hannah DeNote and Jessica and Lauren Sforza; brothers, Simeon and Yeland Morin, Delmar and Jackie Morin and Wilson and Claire Morin; and a sister, Lillian Anderson of Florida. He was predeceased by his brothers, Edgar, Delano, Kenneth, Larry, Roosevelt, a half brothers, Vandell, Donald and Arthur West; and a half sister, Mandora (Morin) Albair.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 am from Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol to St. Maria Goretti Church for a Mass of
Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
