Mary L. (Symonaitis) McCaughern
Mary L. (Symonaitis) McCaughern, 95, of 145 Ledge St., Nashua, N.H., passed away Jan. 20, 2010, at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. She was the widow of Robert T. McCaughern, who had been a fire captain with the Bristol Fire Department. She was born June 30, 1914, in Torrington the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Cybulsski) Symonaitis. Mary enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary worked at Torrington Manufacturing Co., Cottage Bakery and Jerry's Cordial before she retired. She was a member of St. Gregory Church. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Roberta M. and Daniel J. Terwilliger of Hudson, N.H., and Eileen McCaughern of Bethany; a sister, Nellie Marrone from Oregon; three grandchildren, Lisa Terwilliger, Mark and Kevin Terwilliger; and nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at 10 a.m., from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, to St. Gregory Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 10 until 11 a.m.
