Mary (Ventrella) DeMartino
Mary (Ventrella) DeMartino, 85, of formerly of Stafford Avenue, Bristol, passed away, Oct. 31, 2008, at The Pines of Bristol, she was the widow of Domenic DeMartino. She was born April 9, 1923, in Bristol the daughter of the late Vito and Donata (Cistulli) Ventrella. Mary moved to Waterbury for 37 years and back to Bristol in 1998. She worked for Wallace Barnes for almost 40 years, before she retired in 1982. She was a member of St. Anthony Church and Wallace Barnes Girl Club. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Peter Ventrella and three sisters, Theresa Morea, Antoinette Vunbaco and Sadie Dugas. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, Bristol. Burial will at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, Wednesday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Anthony Church, 111 School St., Bristol, CT 06010.
