Margaret (Maxwell) Nicklis, 63, of Bristol passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Ingraham Manor in Bristol. Marge was born in Waterbury, July 14, 1945, the daughter of the late Oswald Joseph and Helen (Dawiczyki) Maxwell. She worked for several companies in advertising. Marge had a gift for fundraising, no one could say no to her. She started McCabe-Waters Little League annual golf tournament, which raised thousand of dollars for the children in the Bristol area. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church. She is survived by her three sons, Timothy and his wife, Caryn Nicklis Jr., Thomas and his wife, Amy Nicklis, and Theodore and his wife, Amanda Nicklis; a brother, William J. Maxwell; and four grandchildren, Gracelynn, Elizabeth, Sarah and Joshua; and several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, James Nicklis, and a brother, Richard Maxwell. Funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Terryville.
