Louis Zanetti, 79, of Fifth St., Bristol passed away peacefully Friday, (October 5, 2007) at his home surrounded by his family and his wife, Ethel L. (Silva) Zanetti. He was the son of the late Carlo and Maria (Berti) Zanetti, born in New Britain, on March 16, 1928. Louis was a veteran in the Korea War, serving in the Army, he worked at the Former Tuttle & Bailey Printing Company for 29 years before he retired in 1984. He was a lifelong devoted member of St. Matthew Church and a member of Bristol Senior Center. He enjoyed traveling and Bingo. Beside his wife he is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Gail and David Faitani of Bristol; a son, Carl Zannetti of Bristol and a foster-son, Daniel Yurewitch of New Britain; a sister, Inez Choma of Kensington; two sisters-in-law, Yvonne Zannetti and Vivian Ehritz and her husband, Louis; four grandchildren; and a special granddaughter, plus grand nieces and nephews, Special nephew, Ron Schleicher and his wife Rena, Walter Schleicher and his wife Marion, Robert Silva and his wife Marcia, and Charlie Schleicher and his wife Nancy and many close friends. He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Alice and two brothers, Thomas and Emilio. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol to St. Matthew Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Britain.
