Julia J. (Billings) Positano, 71, of Bristol, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, surrounded by her family and long time partner, Thomas Riendeau.
She was born in Canton, N.Y. on May 27, 1944 the daughter of the late Burton and Thelma (Stacey) Billings. Julia owned for many years the Hair Hut in Bristol and she also worked at Stanley Works in New Britain.
She is survived by her son, Thomas and his wife, Tracy, of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; a daughter, Angela of Stockton, Calif.; two grandchildren, Keyarra and Vincent. She’s also survived by step-children, Robert and Denise Riendeau; step-granddaughter, Renee Raymond Riendeau, Clifford and Sheri. She leaves behind two brothers, Richard and Edward Billings, and two sisters, Velda Billings Ruest and Donna Billings; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Beverly Martin and brother-in-law, Joel Martin, and sister-in-law, Phyllis Billings and a grandson, Tyler Akra.
Funeral service will be at the convenience of the family. Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St., Bristol, CT is in charge of the arrangements.
