Joseph Mastrototaro, 94, formerly of Benjamin Street, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at Marathon Health Care in Prospect. He was the husband of 71 years to Frances (Mastropasqua) Mastrototaro.
Joseph was born in Bari Province, Turi, Italy, on June 12, 1913, the son of the late Michael and Maria Louisa (DiGioia) Mastrototaro. He worked for Wallace Barnes for 36 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of St. Anthony Church and the Sons of Italy.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Mastrototaro of White Stone, N.Y., and Gino Mastrototaro of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; a daughter, Grace Cocchiola of Watertown; a brother, Leonard Mastrototaro of Deerpark, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 19 Stern St., Bristol 06010.
