Jonathan S. "JK" Kelly

Jonathan S. Kelly, “JK”, 80, of Bristol, CT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Village Green of Bristol. John was born in Bristol on May 24, 1943.

 Son of the late hard-working John E. C. Kelly and beloved mother, Alvina (Kobylski) Kelly.

He was employed by The City of Bristol as a firefighter retiring as Lieutenant. JK was a member of BPOE #1010 and a longtime member of Pequabuck Golf Club. JK loved being a Bristol Firefighter, golfing, tennis, racquetball, playing cards and spending time with his great friends at "The Club". JK was best known for his signature “Kellyism’s” that permeated the air at PGC whenever he was engaged in a spirited conversation with fellow members.

John is survived by two sons, Jason Kelly from Bristol, now residing in Englewood, FL, and Brian Kelly of Bristol. As well as his former spouse, Susanne Kelly. JK will be deeply missed and always remembered.

Graveside service will be held on June 20, 2023, at 11:00am at St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave, Bristol. A Celebration of life will follow at Pequabuck Golf Club from 11:30am to 2:30pm.
