John Reinhardt "JB" Behrendt
John Reinhardt "JB" Behrendt, 72, of 6 Greystone Ave. Bristol, passed away Friday, March 25, 2005 at the Bristol Hospital. He was the husband of Myrle (Erling) Behrendt.
He was born May 4, 1932 in Bristol, the son of late John and Helen (Tonn) Behrendt.
Mr. Behrendt lived in Bristol all of his life and served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 as a sergeant in the US Army. John worked for Parsons Buick in Plainville for 48 years and retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Jacklin Rod & Gun Club, Bristol Fish & Game, American Legion Bristol, VFW Post # 574, and Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Beside his wife of Bristol, he is survived by a sister, Jacqueline (Behrendt) Tessman; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Anita & Alfred Klepps, August & Phyllis Erling, Elaine & Richard Prindle, Roald and Lois Erling; and several nieces and nephews, including John & Paul Tessman and Jacqueline Holcomb.
Funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church 154 Meadow St. Bristol. Burial with military honors will follow in West Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at church on Monday from 10:00 Am until time of service. Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol is in charge of arrangements
