JoAnn "Peanut"Darigis, 55 of Maplewood Ave Torrington died Sunday at Hartford Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Bristol, May 17, 1949 daughter of the late Joseph and Therese (Palance) Darigis. One of her greatest joy was her nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Rolling Flags Organization and attended most of the vigils for the POW/MIA.
She is survived by a sister and brother in law, Rosemary and Martin Sparano of Goshen and a brother and sister-in-law Robert and Charlene Darigis of Northfield. She also leaves uncles Aunts nephews and nieces and many grand nieces and grand nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 9 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St. To St. Anthony Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
I am saddened and heart broken to hear that Peanut has passed away.

I have often thought of Peanut, and wondered how she was. My brother Gregg (Scotty) Scott, loved her dearly and its nice to know they are together forever. My condolences to you and your family
