Mrs. Jennie (Sosinski) Monico, 95, Old Wolcott Road  Bristol, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Bristol Hospital.
Her husband, Alfred A. “Freddie” Monico, Sr. 97, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Countryside Manor.

Jennie was born in Terryville, Connecticut on June 30, 1918 the daughter of the late Alexander and Jessie (Fibich) Sosinski.
She is a lifelong resident in the Bristol area, retiring in 1975, from Cooper Industries, Bussman Division where she worked for over 13 years. She loved her daily phone call from her niece Joanie Monico.
Alfred was born in Bristol on December 19, 1916 the son of the late Dominic and Adeline (Zardinelli) Monico. He worked for the State of Connecticut 23 years as a correctional officer retiring in 1978. He also worked for many years as a master plasterer and his expertise was ceilings.
He loved to watch the New York Yankees and loved fishing with his buddies Jim Strong and Dave Anderson. He enjoyed his Sunday morning rides and breakfast with his nephew and best friend, Spec Monico.
The kitchen was the heart of their home, where they enjoy cooking and gathering at the table to play Scrabble. On Saturday mornings, you can expect to find them listening to their favorite records.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at both Countryside Manor and Bristol Hospital.    
They are survived by a devoted daughter, Barbara Krol of Bristol, they also leaves several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Freddie,  leaves two brothers, Joe and Richard Carello.
They are predeceased by a son, Alfred A. "Sonny"  Monico, Jr. and a daughter, Linda Joyce DiYulio.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday , January 4, 2014 at  11:00 AM at the Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St., Bristol, CT. Friends may call the funeral home from 10 until time of service. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Bristol.
