Jean W. Maher, 91 of Unionville, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at Ingram Manor. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 26, 2026.
She is the widow of Thomas William Maher (Bill). Jean was born in Waltham, MA on July 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Thomas B. Weber Sr. and Ruth (Ahlman) Weber. She graduated high school in 1952, New London high school, New London, New Hampshire. Jean attended Valley Community Baptist Church with her beloved husband. With deep love and gratitude for life, well lived, we celebrate the home, and of devoted follower of Jesus Christ (Lord and Savior), whose faith was the foundation of her life and the light that guided her through every step. She was woman of unwavering belief, who walk closely with the Lord through every season. She finished her race, kept the faith, and received her crown of righteousness. Her career as a young woman began at Connecticut Bank and trust in Hartford, Connecticut for several years. She then hung up her thinking hat and decided to devote her life to family, church and be a wonderful homemaker. She was known for her delicious pies and other baked goods. Thanksgiving was always a favorite holiday gathering.
She has been reunited in heaven with her loved one who predeceased her. Specially noted: Elizabeth Jean Perera (daughter) of Bristol, CT may she rest in peace beloved one.
She is survived by two sons, Robert and Song Sitka of Bristol, CT, David and Karen Sitka of Bristol, CT. Grandchildren, Bryan D. Sitka of Logan, Utah, Bethany and Nicholas Montesdeoca and Myla (Sitka) Montesdeoca of Bristol, CT.
A beloved sister, Alice Parkman of Berkeley MA, her daughter, Jean Marie Goldman of East Tauntan, MA., Her son, Theodore (Teddy) Parkman of Berkeley, MA. A beloved brother, Thomas B. Weber, Jr. of Wolcott, CT., His son, Christopher Weber of Telluride, CO., and a host of very special nieces and nephews she loved, prayed for and cared for deeply.
The funeral service will be held on April 1, 2026 at 11 AM at the Dunn funeral home, 191 West St., Bristol, CT. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Bristol in lieu of flowers, family and friends can use the website WWW.Dunnfh.com to plant a tree in her honor or make a donation to Valley community Baptist Church, 590W.
