May you take comfort in the wonderful  promise found in Gods word the Bible  to see an end to 'pain, suffering, sickness and even death.' (Revelation 21:4) This is a sure guarantee, that is soon to be fulfilled, from our Heavenly Father Jehovah and I hope you find this promise very comforting at this difficult time. The Bible also holds out a wonderful promise to be able to see our dear loved ones sleeping in death resurrected back to life right here on a paradise earth (John 5:28,28, Acts 24:15). My sincere condolences to the family during this difficult time. I just wanted to share a scripture that have strengthened me during my most difficult times and I pray it does the same with you; Isaiah 41:10 "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not gaze about, for I am your God. I will fortify you. I will really help you. I will really keep fast hold of you with my right hand of righteousness"

To the Shanley family and Amy. I met Jim at Sloane as a fellow young adult patient with colorectal cancer. I just want to express how much I appreciated Jim. He helped to ease my fears about surgery and took the time to meet with me so we could talk. He was a wonderful person and I will miss him.

May James' loving family and friends find comfort from God's Word found at Revelation 21:3-5

My deepest sympathy goes out to all of Jim's family and friends. I was Jim's guidance counselor in middle school and I am so glad I was able to share in your years with him at that age. He was always such a joy. Seeing all his achievements since then is inspirational!

To the Shanley family, Amy Hare, and the Hare family,

I met Jim briefly through Amy and her family. Even in that brief amount of time, I could tell, by the way he conducted himself with others, the way he treated Amy, the way he spoke to me, that he was indeed a warm, wonderful young man. I am very, very sorry for your loss.

May he rest in peace always,
Rob Pistey

To the Shanley family.  I used to work with a wonderful person named Eileen Shanley at Veterans in Rocky Hill.  If this is the same Eileen, I am sending my heartfelt sympathy to you on the loss of Jim.  We lost our daughter at 44 with Pancreatic Cancer.  If not the same Eileen, please accept my sympathy for the entire family.  Let us hope and pray that someday cancer will not be an issue we will have to deal with.

Bob, Mary Kay, Sean.  My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you, I know what it is like to loose a child, watching my parents ordeal. We lost a gem in loosing Jimmy. We have to mourn his loss and yet realize how blessed we were to be touched by him in the time that we had him.  Reflect on that time because it was special, every minute of it.  My love is with you all always, God bless your family. Love Artie.
