Mr. James B. Penda, 81, of Bristol, passed away Wednesday (July 16, 2008) at Ingraham Manor in Bristol, he was the husband of Constance (Cyr) Penda. James was born in Bristol on May 23, 1927 the son of the late James M. and Theresa (Iassogna) Penda. A life long resident of Bristol and a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy. He was a co-owner of Modern Barber Shop for many years before he retired. He was a member of St. Ann Church and BPOE # 1010. Besides his wife he is survived by several cousins and best friends Frances Colapietro and Frank and Mary Ann Chesky, plus very special Godchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church. Entombment will follow in Holy family Mausoleum in St. Joseph Cemetery, in Bristol.
