Irene M. Pierce

Irene M. Pierce, 65 of New Britain passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022. She was born in New Britain, CT on August 20, 1957, the daughter of the late William Leo and Rachel (Therrien) Pierce.
She worked at Brittany Farms Convalescent home for several years. Irene love to paint and was very active in the Franklin Square Manor helping with all activities .She was a star basketball player in high school and into college. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankee and UConn Women's basketball.  She loved going to Maine and enjoying her seafood.  

She is survived by her sister Debra Washington of South Carolina, two brothers Michael and his wife Roxanne of Bristol and Daniel and his wife Lori of Plainville.  Two nieces, Amanda Miano (Marco), Rachelle Washington, four nephews Michael Bailey, Nathen Washington, William and Jonathan Pierce, she also has many family members in Maine  

She was predeceased by her son, Ryan McLaughlin and her niece, Heather Bailey.

Relatives and friends may meet at Franklin Square Manor, 120 Whiting St, New Britain, CT on Tuesday, November 15 at 10:00 in the meeting room.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
