Mr. Hugo J. Baldaccini, Sr., 96, of Bristol passed away peacefully Thursday, August 14, 2008. He was the husband of Rose (Velardo) Baldaccini.
Mr. Baldaccini was born in Harwinton on August 11, 1912, the son of the late Danta and Ann Baldaccini.
Hugo was a resident of Bristol his whole life. He worked at New Departure-Hyatt Division of General Motors for 37 years and retired in 1971. He was a member of St. Anthony Church; Sons of Italy, which he was the former permittee; and was an avid bowler. He loved to tell story about the olden days and he loved the Yankees.
Beside his wife, he is survived by a son, Hugo J. Baldaccini, Jr. of Bristol; a daughter, Patricia Milosevic of Bristol; a brother, Guilo Baldaccini of Bristol; 3 grandchildren, Robert Milosevic, Dante Mancuso and Michelle Holland; six great-grandchildren plus several nephews and nieces.
He is predeceased by a son, Dante A. (Red) Baldaccini; two brothers, Marion and Galileo Baldaccini; two sisters, Julia Archambeault and Theresa Baldaccini.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol, on Monday from 9:00 AM until time of the Mass.
