Gerald R. Heresko, 63, of Bristol passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Bristol Hospital. Gerald was born in Hartford, March 8, 1946, the son of Norman W. Heresko and the late Emilie M. (Bielert) Heresko.
He was the owner and president of Bristol Mums since 1987. He worked prior for Bristol nurseries. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bristol Fish and Game Club since 1963, Bristol Historical Society, American Philatelic Society, active in several other organizations and was involved in many activities.
Besides his father, he is survived by a brother, Kenneth B. Heresko; a sister, Patricia H. LeBeau and her husband, Terry, all from Bristol; three uncles, Daniel Bielert of Bristol, Paul and his wife Joan Bielert, Emil Bielert all from Arizona, and Marcel Ledoux of Fla; two nephews, Tim and his wife, Robin LeBeau, and Tom LeBeau; and several cousins. Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 154 Meadow St., Bristol, Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Peacedale Cemetery. Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St. Bristol, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bristol Historical Society, 98 Summer St., Bristol, Connecticut 06011, or Immanuel Lutheran Church, 154 Meadow St., Bristol, CT 06010.
