Nancy & family -
I just found about Fern's passing. My deepest condolences. Fern was one-of-a-kind! Funny, thoughtful and caring! He wasn't my "patient" - he became family. Even my parents loved him! I'm sad that I will never get to do a jigsaw puzzle while listening to country music with him again but take comfort in knowing that he's at peace. Sending big, gentle hugs to the Champagne family.

Nancy, Joey and Kim, so sorry for your loss. He was a solid friend to me and family for over 40 years and despite all my travels and work assignments we somehow managed to stay in touch. So many happy memories going ice fishing on some really frigid days, of course staying warm with a little nip of blackberry brandy and talking with all the other fisherman on the ice. He seemed to know all the right spots to go fishing in small brooks for trout and opening day camping at Peoples Forest was our annual ritual. Camping, great bonfires, lots of talk into the night and even caught some fish. He was always there to offer a helping hand to friends and would frequently stop by the house to spend time with my brothers and I tinkering on our vehicles in the garage and telling stories. He introduced us to the annual picking of fiddle heads ( or as he would say fougere) a tradition that lasted for years. Goodbye my friend, will miss you but not forget you. Your friend Phillippe.
