Everett H. Pinette

Everett H Pinette, 86 of Southington (Formerly of Bristol) passed away peacefully at his home on November 7, 2018. He was born on September 17, 1932 in Fort Kent Maine and was the eldest child of Harold and Frances Pinette.

Everett was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He moved to Connecticut in 1950 where he began his 47 year career in manufacturing working for Wallace Barnes Group in Bristol and then Cedar Metal Specialties in Wolcott, where he became a partner until his retirement. He met the love of his life, Phyllis when she was in Maine visiting at age 16 and they were married for 64 wonderful years prior to her death in 2017. He was a kind, generous and caring person whose big heart and great sense of humor will be sadly missed. He was a lifelong member of the Bristol Elks and very involved for many years and was also a lifetime devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. The 2018 Red Sox World Series victory allowed him the everlasting peace to join his favorite Red Sox fan, Phyllis who he has missed every day since her passing.

He leaves a daughter, Jill Therrien and her husband Todd Therrien and a son Scott Pinette, and his wife, Deanna Pinette. His beloved grandchildren Meryl (and her fiancé Jeb), Evan, and Colby (and his wife Julie). He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis. He leaves his sisters Marlene Schwartz (pre-deceased) and her twin sister, Eileen Muir, Ann Powers and her husband Francis Powers, Sandra Masse, and his brothers Allen Pinette and his wife Carmen, Conrad (Bill) Pinette and his wife Jeanine, and Phillip Pinette. He also leaves many nieces and nephews who he truly loved and always had an open door for.

A Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church in Bristol Connecticut on Thursday, November 15th at 12:00 noon, with a reception to follow after the burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Stuart Pinette, Everett’s nephew will officiate the ceremony. My deep deep condolences to the Pinette family:
May you reflect on the precious memories of your loved one. I would like to share what helped us when our precious daughter died and later when my precious husband fell asleep in death as well. I appreciated the calls and visits from all over the US but I recall just sitting down and reading different Scriptures and meditating on them. It was so comforting to read that God cares for me personally... (1Peter 5:6, 7). Yes, He cares, He sees our pain. And, He Jehovah God will in His due time do away with All sicknesses & death (Isaiah 33:24 & Isaiah 25:8). He is indeed a God of comfort. Oh, wow He promises the hope of seeing our precious loved ones again (John 5:28, 29) and says where (Psalms 37:11). He always keeps His word. I hope that these few Scriptures were of some comfort to you as they were to me.

My Condolences to the Pinette family: Losing a loved one is never easy and my heart goes out to you. The pain is so real but the God of comfort helped me through that terrible pain when our daughter died and now when my precious husband of 50 years fell asleep in death due to pancreatic cancer. God doesnt leave us without hope. Notice these few Scriptures of comfort: Revelation 21:4 (no more sadness or death) Isaiah 33:24 (no more sickness) John 5:28, 29 (the Resurrection) Psalms 37:11 (where we will see our loved one) Psalms 37:29 (for how long). When you feel up to reading these few Scriptures, may they be comforting to you as well.

Everett was truly a wonderful human being. He was blessed with a truly giving heart. His wife Phyllis also had these same attributes. Now they are together--God Bless you both.

Dear Pinette family:

I wish to convey my sincerest condolences to your entire family. Losing a loved one in death is one of the hardest things that anyone will ever have to deal with. There is a great hope held out to us for the future because God promises to bring those we lost back to life by means of a resurrection to a paradise earth, where sickness and death will be no more. I hope this brief message will bring you a measure of comfort in this difficult time.

The God father! My God father. Such an amazing man. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful memories of him. He used to come to our house every Sunday with a dozen donughts and that big smile. We used to have summer picnics and he would take all the change out of his pockets and throw it in the pool so we would dive for it. I cut his hair for years and am so thankful I got to see him the week before he died. RIP Uncle Everett. I will miss you dearly! Buddy and Jill, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
