Eugenie (Allaire) Bebyn, 95, formerly of Torrington, passed away, June 13, 2025, at The Connecticut Baptist Home in Meriden. She was the widow of Edward J. Bebyn.Eugenie was born in Frampton, Province of Quebec, Canada on February 3, 1930, the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Brochu) Allaire. A lifelong resident of Torrington and a member of St. Mary Church. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. She moved to Riverview Apartments in Bristol, CT in 2008 where she made many friends and was active in their Bingo activity. In 2019 she moved to Connecticut Baptist Home in Meriden, CT where she was well taken care of and was able to spend her time making jigsaw puzzles in their puzzle room. She was also an avid card player and was playing her favorite game of 31 up until a month before her passing.While raising her children in Torrington she was actively involved at St. Mary's School and Parish. She was a Girl Scout leader for St. Mary's School troop, served as president and other roles in the St. Mary's Ladies Guild and was also a member of the Council of Catholic Women and a Lucian of the Religious Teachers Filippini.She loved looking after children and was a great babysitter to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, grandnephews as well as other children of friends. She is predeceased by 7 brothers, Emmanuel, Georges, Raymond, Edouard, Lucien, Rene and Robert, 8 Sisters, Marthe, Cecile, Simonne, Jeanne, Lumina, Noella, Lucille and Monique.She is survived by, 2 sons; Edwin (Phyllis) Bebyn of Londonderry, NH, and Austin (James) Bebyn of North Haven. 3 daughters: Gisele Lemieux of Montreal, Canada, Katharine Coggshall (Raymond) of Meriden and Sister Elaine Bebyn, M.P.F. of Morristown, NJ. 8 grandchildren: Brian (Kaitlyn) Bebyn, Kimberly (Matthew) Domenico, Eric (Carly) Bebyn, John (Adriane) Coggshall, Julie (Connor), McEvoy, Tonia DeGrace, Pascal (Genevieve) DeGrace and Azure (Thomas)DeGrace, 14 Great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews, grand and great grandnieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales St. Ann Church Campus. Entombment will be private in St. Peters Cemetery, in Torrington. Friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol on Tuesday, from 8:30 to 10:30.
