Elizabeth Ann Foulk

June 28, 1935 — February 25, 2016

Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Foulk, 80, of Bristol, CT died Thursday, February 25, 2016 with family by her side.

Born, June 28, 1935 in Bristol, CT to the late Della (Dumont) Brown and William J. Brown - both of Bristol, CT - Betty worked in various trades throughout her lifetime. She attended Bristol schools and was an avid sports fan – go YANKEES!

Betty was the wife of the late Charles E. Foulk Jr. – whose untimely death at such a young age left her devastated and alone to raise her 5 children. Her love for him was unparalleled as she remained devoted to him for her entire life. Her children are forever proud of her incredible strength and will to live and thrive despite all the tragedy she endured.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Patrick Napolitano, her children, Charles E. Foulk III, Mary and Harold (Chip) Platz, Sandy and Shaun McCauley, William J. Foulk, Veronica and Keith Santacroce, 10 grandchildren (Willie Foulk, Charles the IVth, and Nathaniel Foulk, Tyler and Samantha Platz, Shauna, Spencer and Shelby McCauley, Joan and Matt Santacroce), 4 great grandchildren, 14 nieces and nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Betty is preceded in death by her beloved twin sister - Barbara Napolitano, and sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Jerry Blanche of New Jersey.

Betty expressed great appreciation for much help over the years from all her Bristol friends including Henry Russell, Bob Wollenberg at Beacon Prescriptions, Tom and Violette at DeLorenzo Towers, and Cheryl at Dees. More recently, Deana Brown of Masonicare Home Health & Hospice cared deeply for Mom. We are all eternally grateful to you.

The family would like to thank all our friends and relatives who helped us through this time. You all meant a lot to mom and we are forever in your debt. Barb – your Bettina is grateful for all your special times together, and Debbie – mom wanted you to know how much she loved you and thought of you as her own daughter.

Betty was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church – 33 Queen Street Bristol, Connecticut where Funeral services will be held for the public Monday, February 29, 11:30 AM. There are no calling hours and burial is immediate family only directly following the mass.

Betty was a devout Catholic and asked for your prayers. Memorial Contributions may be made to American Lung Association 45 Ash Street East Hartford, CT 06108.
