Bristol, Elaine (Devoti) Metayer, formerly of Divinity St. Bristol, passed away Friday at Countryside Manor in Bristol, she was the wife of Fred N. Metayer.
Mrs. Metayer was born in Bristol on March 31, 1926 the daughter of the late Ricardo and Rose (Elazzi) Devoti. She worked at The Bristol Store, Funk Bristol Furniture and CT Light & Power. She was a member of St. Ann Church and Bristol Senior Center.
Beside her husband she is survived by a son Robert A. and his wife Lisa Metayer of Bristol and three sisters Adele Mancini of New Britain; Victoria Giovanniello of Forestville; and Gloria Michaud of Bristol. 2 granddaughters Stephanie and Kaleigh Metayer and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Ann Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, in Bristol.
There are no calling hours. The Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol is in charge of arrangements
