Dorothy Quinto

Dorothy (Williams) Quinto
Dorothy (Williams) Quinto, of Bristol, widow of Armand Quinto, died Saturday, July 10 2010, at Ingraham Manor Nursing Home, Bristol, at the age of 96. Dorothy was born in Bristol on June 25, 1914, to Henry and Josephine (Swain) Williams. She grew up in Newfoundland, Canada, and lived there for several years before returning to Bristol. In 1943 she met Armand Quinto and they were married in 1944. They remained married for 54 years until Armand passed away in 1998. Dorothy developed a very strong work ethic; continuing to work while raising three sons. She was employed at the A&P Supermarket in their meat department from 1952 until they closed the store and continued to work from the IGA store until she retired. Retirement was very short lived as she was enlisted to help care for her grandchildren while their parents continued in their professional careers. Dorothy was a member of St. Anthony's Church and an active member in the Rosary Society, and she also enjoyed her many years volunteering at St. Anthony's Italian Festival. She is survived by her three sons, the Rev. Armand R. Quinto, SDB, of Orange, N.J., Ron Quinto from Palm Springs, Calif. And Robert and his wife, Carolyn Quinto, of Bristol; five grandchildren, Dean, Sonny, Justin, Michael and Andrew; and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her brother, Harold Williams. Dorothy's family wishes to thank the staff at Ingraham Manor for the wonderful care they provided to her. The Funeral will be held on Wednesday, at 10 a.m., from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., to St. Anthony Church for A Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to The Don Bosco Formation Community, 518 - B Valley St. Orange, NJ 07050.

Mines family
My condolences to the family. Those we love left us gifts in the form of memories that no one can take away, wisdom that we can still recall. These are the things we shall cherish forever in our hearts. May the family continue to look to Almighty God for comfort and strength during this difficult time. (Psalms 46:1)
