On Sunday, February 15, 2026 the heavens received a beautiful soul as God called Daniel R. Laviero home. Danny was more than a man; he was a beloved husband, nurturing father, dedicated brother, cherished uncle, and dear cousin. He also loved being a grandfather and a great-grandfather.
Danny was a graduate of St. Anthony's High School where he played basketball, baseball and soccer, and was an avid New York Yankees fan. He also served in the National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion for 57 years, a lifetime member of the Bristol BPOE #1010, lifetime member of the 100 Club, and a member of IUOE Local 478.
To know Danny is to know his work ethic. The guy loved to work construction, only retiring at age 82 due to a cancer diagnosis. In 1965 he was the owner of Laviero Construction Company (LCCO), then worked 24 years at Martin Laviero Construction, and at age 64 he was hired at Tilcon CT where he worked for 19 years. He took great pride in the upkeep of his Cadillacs, often remarking that washing and waxing was relaxing while listening to Frank Sinatra. He also liked riding his lawnmower and keeping his yard in pristine condition. Danny enjoyed many years wintering in Florida and made many lifelong friendships. He loved playing cards with his buddies at the pool, having dinner with friends and going to Gulfstream Park horse track. He will be remembered as a warrior; he never gave up the fight and possessed a strong unwavering faith in God till the end. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Church.
Danny was born on June 6,1941 in Bristol, the son of the late Andrew and Philomena (Fantasia) Laviero. Danny is survived by his loving wife, Hollis (Beloin) Laviero with whom he shared 22 wonderful years, his four children, Maureen Callahan (Tim), Melissa Wheelock (Brian), Daniel Laviero (Dea), John Laviero (Kristen) and stepdaughter Melissa D'Orazio. He also leaves 9 grandchildren, Julia Callahan, Tyler and Mitchell Wheelock, Hannah Levesque, Madison Laviero, Jonathan and Ava Laviero, and Lindsay and Gabriella Laviero. Two great-granddaughters, Wren and Keaton Levesque, brother and sister-in-law Anthony and MaryEllen Morton, and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition, the mother of his children, Rose Laviero. Danny also leaves behind many friends that he chose as family and is grateful for having them in his life. Danny was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Andrew, and Dominic Laviero and his stepson, Brock D'Orazio.
