Bristol, Mr. Charles R. "Chick" Yacawych, 74, of 330 Park St., Bristol, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the Ingraham Manor, he was the husband of Lucy A. (Chiarillo) Yacawych.
Charles was born in Bristol on May 31, 1933, the son of the late and Dorothy (Stone) (Mongillo) Yacawych and Michael Yacawych. A life long resident of Bristol and attended Bristol School System. He was a veteran in the Korean War serving in the Marines. He worked for several construction companies and retired from TLC Oil Company. He worked part time for his dear friend Kevin Wojtczak of Chute-Gates Restaurant in Terryville. He was a member of St. Anthony Church, Veteran of Foreign War, Italian Social Club and Pequabuck Golf Club.
Beside his wife, of Bristol he is survived by a daughter, LouAnn McGee of Manchester, Tennessee and nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008, at 10:00 Am at St. Anthony Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, in Bristol. Friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol on Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Anthony's Development Fund 111 School St. Bristol, CT 06010.
