Catherine (Duncan) DeFillippi, of 105 Crown St., Bristol, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Bristol Hospital. She was the devoted wife of Joseph DeFillippi Sr. for 61 years. Catherine was born in Bristol, the daughter of the late James and Anna (Pillion) Duncan. She lived her entire life in Bristol and was a member of St. Anthony Church. She was a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Besides her husband, she is survived by her beloved family, son Joseph DeFillippi Jr. and his wife, Lori, of Bristol; two daughters, Joanne Deegan and her husband, Gary, of East Haddam and Sharon DeFillippi of Bristol; and six grandchildren, Katherine and Andrew Deegan, Sara and Joey DeFillippi and Matthew and Emily McKenzie. She was predeceased by her brother and sisters, James Duncan, Mary Duncan, Ann Pesino, Helen Colapietro, Madeline Campagnano and Florence Euley. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. There are no calling hours. Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Bristol Hospital, P.O. Box 977 Bristol, CT 06010.
