Cheryl (Cybulski) Cordone
Cheryl (Cybulski) Cordone, 59, of 51 Rockwell Ave., Bristol, passed away, May 7, 2008, at Bristol Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph J. Cordone. She was born May 17, 1948, in Bristol, the daughter of the late Stanley and Constance (Luciano) Cybulski. Cheryl was a lifelong resident of Bristol. She worked for Noveck’s Pharmacy, Biscayne West Luncheonette, Pepsi-Cola of Bristol, McCue Mortgage, Justitia International Inc., Stone Academy and was self-employed as a bookkeeper and secretarial service. She was a member of St. Anthony Church, were she taught CCD and was a eucharistic minister. She also was a member of the OSIA Club and Keystone Auxiliary. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Mark L. Ainsworth and his wife, Shekoh, of California; two daughters, Maryann Beveridge and Connie Marie Cordone, both of Bristol; a stepdaughter, Laura Marie Kibbe of Middlebury; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Beveridge of Bristol, Pa. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, Bristol. There are no calling hours. Burial will at the convenience of the family. Leo J Wojtusik
Leo J. Wojtusik, 90, of 87 Meadow St., Bristol, died peacefully Friday, May 2, 2008, at Bristol Hospital after a brief illness. He was the widower of Helen (Palin) Wojtusik. Leo was born in Forestville, Feb. 27, 1918, the son of the late Joseph and Katherine (Novak) Wojtusik. He lived his entire life in Bristol and graduated from Bristol High School. He worked for New Departure–Hyatt Division of General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of St. Anthony Church. He was an avid golfer and was a member of Pequabuck Golf Course for 50 years, having several holes in one. He is survived by a daughter, Harriet Zimbouski of Branford; a grandson, Michael Zimbouski of New York City; plus several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Victoria Kerr and Stella Putorak, and five brothers, Julian, Joseph, Stanley, William and Henry. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Morris S. Green Morris “Moe” S. Green, 66, of 55 Gaylord St., Bristol, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Subacute Center in Forestville. He was the husband of Julienne (Duval) Green. He was born in Woodland, Maine, May 31, 1941, the son of the late Clayton G. and Mary I. (Swimm) Green. Moe worked at O-Z/Gedney Co. for more than 13 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving in the Army for 19 years, and received the Purple Heart. Moe was a member of the American Legion, DAV and Capt. Edmund P. Zbikowski Post No. 2 and the Polish Club. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Jason M. Green, and a daughter, Michelle Green, both of Bristol; two sisters, Janet Turner of Illinois and Joan Behrman of Colorado; two grandchildren, Amaya Green and Skylher Green-Simons; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Aden and Terrance Green. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol. Burial will follow with military honors in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.
